Autistic people should be encouraged, accommodated and supported to grow into happy autistic individuals instead of being trained, forced and abused into using all their energy on repressing their autistic traits. 


When addressing someone with autism, It’s always person first. “People with autism should be encouraged”…

Not autistic people.

Autism does not define or own a person. ❤️ help spread “person first”. Person first, not diagnosis.

Wrong. That’s a common misconception but the majority of autistic people actually do see autism as part of their identity and therefore most of us prefer identity-first language. I am autistic myself, by the way, so you don’t get to tell me shit about “people with autism.”

Person first language is bunk.
